December 2024 Family Update
I’m a wee bit behind. In fact, I’m just now getting around to writing this post in mid-February sitting in a hotel bed at a hockey tournament while Skylar sleeps. I still need to write January as well so this will be more of a checklist to document the month. Done is better than perfect, right?
Went to Zoolumination for the 3rd year. It’s always different each time but so calming and relaxing and beautiful.
Skylar has officially been accepted into the aviation program and MTSU and committed.
I worked a lot of Aldi Advent puzzles.
Skylar received the Horizon Award from her EAA chapter and received a scholarship for aviation camp in Osk Kosh this upcoming summer.
I went to the pickleball Chrismtas party for Charlie Daniels intermediate crew.
Game night at the Sloans.
Replaced the water pump on the washer.
Went to Sonia’s Winter Solstice Party and set intentions for the new year.
Tried a new PB venue for Wednesdays.
Bought a bunch of new family games & puzzles – Azul is the fave so far!
Taught some folks how to play Catan.
Served Christmas Eve (Jewish fare) and woke up on Christmas Day with my favorite people,
Got my nails did.
Rang in the New Year with the Sloans.
Ok, that’s about it for December. So many lovely memories from this past year. 2024 was weird and beautiful but it will always hold a special place in my heart. I saw a meme that so accurately described the last few years of my life.

I wasn’t at all expecting 2024 to launch me into what’s next but I’m truly excited for 2025 and what’s to come. All this hard physical, mental, and emotional work is about to pay off!
