November 2025 Update
November was pretty fun! We kicked it off with Dia De Los Muertos and Skylar hosting a “Halloween” Party that weekend. She brought home some of her college friends and they were all lovely. I went to bed, but I think they all had a good time.

The beginning of November also means “Aldi Advent Calendar Day.” This year I snagged both puzzle sets, dog toys, chocolate truffles, and cheese.

We also hosted another game night and discovered a new game that’s hilariously chaotic but so much fun. If you need a game for upto 8 players, check out Happy Salmon.

This month I finally did something that I’ve been wanting to do for a long time – a professional color analysis. As I’ve gotten older my eyes have changed color and I have changed up my hair as well. I tried ChatGPT but was getting conflicting results. The whole experience was fascinating and very enlightening. During our 2 hour consultation, Rhonda helped me to discover what clothing, makeup, jewelry, and patterns look best on me. I’m a Vibrant Autumn, meaning that warmer, clear, brighter colors look best on me. She also suggested that my hair color might be too cool for my skin tone. We tried on some wigs and I could immediately see the difference. I made an appointment with my girl, Hannah, for the next weekend. I decided to go darker and finally embrace the red undertones in my hair. And, well, I absolutely love this new color and I’ve gotten so many lovely compliments. Watch my before & after transformation. If you are in the Nashville area, check out Color Analysis by Rhonda.

The weather was still holding out for some lovely days so we got to play a good bit of outdoor pickleball. We also finally got a chance to try The Trailer Park (it’s all food trucks in Lebanon) and it’s super cute. I also had a chance to go to a Titan’s Game with perfect fall weather. In fact, at one point, I was hot!

At the end of the month, we headed down to Birmingham to spend Thanksgiving with my family. We had a good visit but decided to drive back late on Thanksgiving night. Being able to wake up at home meant I could hit the Black Friday live Christmas Tree deals and get mine up and decorated. I also didn’t mind a late-night Bucee’s run.

Overall, a good month. I’m excited for the upcoming holidays, having Skylar home for a few weeks, and seeing my sister graduate college!
