February 2022 Update

We kicked off the month with Skylar earning Life Scout. She’s just one rank away from Eagle! So proud of her. She barely squeaked this one out in time for Court of Honor. It all came down to one requirement for the cooking merit badge but she wrote herself a bunch of sticky notes and finally remembered to do it.

We also popped down to Panama City Beach for a week to stay with Mike’s parents. We spent the week doing puzzles, hiking the conservatory, mini golf, Olympic watching, and shell hunting. We also ate good as always!

Back at home, we dyed the tips of Skylar’s hair green. My parenting philosophy is to say YES to as much as possible and her personal hair preferences are a BIG OLE YES!

Skylar’s troop had a combo rock climbing and roller skating campout and had a blast! She’s really enjoying rock climbing these days. She’s also enjoying more handicrafts. She taught herself to crochet and has been making the cutest little critters. There is seriously not much this kid can’t do or learn to do.

At the end of February, we were able to attend the Nissan Stadium Series for the Preds and sat on the very front row. We had so much fun!

Hockey season is super close to being wrapped up. She had her last JV game with Brentwood and has just a couple more weeks with he U6 team.
